Leitner ropeways belongs to the Leitner group. The latter is active worldwide on the markets for ropeways, snow groomers and tracked utility vehicles, urban transportation systems and wind energy. The snowmaking division added at the end of 2010, will provide a complete offering for one-stop shop for all winter-based technologies.

With technological expertise and a clear strategic orientation, the different companies face the challenges of the market – on the basis of the corporate values: social responsibility, ethics, quality and growth.

A successful 2010. The group reported consolidated sales of 700 million euros in the financial year 2010. In 2010 the group invested 19,5 million euros in R&D and 20,0 million euros in corporate grouth and construction of production buildings. In 2010 more than 300 new jobs were created, so the headcount for the group reached a new record figure of 2,781 employees in the facilities in Europe (Italy, France, Austria, Slovakia, Sweden), USA, Canada, India and China, and in the 70 subcompanies, 91 selling and service Points.
