Fixed-grip chairlifts

The stations. The  LEITNER  stations are an attractive lightweight solution with the flexibility to adapt to any terrain. The design can be striking or restrained, depending on the style of the enclosure.
The choice is between the traditional fixed drive station with a completely enclosed load-bearing machine room and the new compact Unifix station in a single-leg drive configuration. The latter is available as either a fixed station or a combined drive and tension station. The attraction of the mushroom drive with the compact drive assembly is the location of the motor and gearbox on the same axis for a minimum footprint and noise emissions.
The layout of the mechanical components under the bullwheel provides optimum access for inspection and maintenance work even without a full enclosure.
The return stations can be designed with mechanical or hydraulic tensioning. The decision depends on such criteria as power supply, available space, line length, vertical height, etc.

The grip. The LEITNER grip is a tried and tested solution offering absolute reliability. Drop-forging is employed for all forged parts. The disc spring assembly requires minimum maintenance. Grip relocation – without opening the grip – is quick and easy. The long plastic grip tongues contribute to the extremely smooth ride and have proven to be highly successful.

The rope sheave . The LEITNER rope sheave is a tried-and-tested cast aluminum design. For the new sheave train, the sheave is engineered with the bearings located in the aluminum hub without a steel bushing. The continuous rubber liner is form-fitted to one of the aluminum rims of the sheave. The axle is forged from heat-treatable steel, with additional surface treatment for protection against corrosion.

The comfortable chairs. All LEITNER chairs – comprising of double and quad-seater versions – are extremely comfortable. The elastic properties of the connection between the chair frame and the hanger reduce the loads imposed on the chairs and ensure a smooth ride even on passage through depression tower sheave trains. The seats and backrests are hinged for optimum protection against snow and rain. All load-bearing parts are hot-dip galvanized for minimum maintenance and maximum service life.

System design. The highly efficient modular design of the LEITNER system combines customized installations for any terrain and operating requirement with a reduced capital outlay and low operating costs.

LEITNER does not compromise when it comes to quality.  The key components – rope sheaves, drives, hydraulic tensioning systems and braking systems – are identical to those employed on the more complex detachable systems. Standard modules are also incorporated in the line works with sheave trains and towers, which basically require individual adjustment for the gauge only.
A decisive contribution to convenience and comfort is to be seen in the design of the loading and unloading areas for the LEITNER fixed-grip chairlifts. In addition LEITNER offers conveyor loading, which is also ideal for retrofitting existing installations.
